I realize more and more the rich history Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center has in this community – one that spans nearly 40 years. Many staff members have been here since the opening in 1968 and tell stories about when our setting was rather rural. Employees had to shoo cows away from the windows so their noise wouldn’t bother patients.
As I listen, I am impressed by our staff's loyalty and dedication to this hospital and communityl. These employees will tell you that it is the patients and their families who inspire them to provide the best care possible every day. To do that, we must adapt to the many changes in healthcare and in the community.
The rural area of our past is gone. We are now in the center of a bustling community with a growing population. We're responding by expanding our emergency department, updating our technology, and making many overall hospital improvements. We place a high value on investing in our staff, and supporting services and organizations that help improve community health and well-being.
Our goal is to be the healthcare provider of choice for area patients, staff and physicians. One of my personal commitments is to keep you, as a member of our community, informed about “your hospital.” I encourage you to tell us how we can improve our care. Working together, we can make a difference in the lives of our patients and make your hospital better.
If you have thoughts, questions, or concerns , call 561-694-7200 or email me. I look forward to hearing from you
Sincerely,
David A. Pettit Chief Executive Officer Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center
