Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center Appoints New Medical/Surgical Director

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. (March 14, 2016) – Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center welcomes Andrew Silverman, RN as the new Medical/Surgical Director of the Ortho-Neuro Units. He will be responsible for assisting the Chief Nursing Officer in planning, implementing and evaluating the Med/Surg nursing services to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.

Silverman brings over 20 years of clinical practice, including six years of progressively responsible management experience. Most recently, he served as the Clinical Director of Inpatient Nursing Operations at Cooper University Medical Center in New Jersey, where he oversaw the Cardiothoracic and Neuro-Interventional Intensive Care Unit, the Cardiac Care Unit and the PICC team. His previous employment history also includes tenure at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

Silverman’s educational background includes an RN degree from Germantown Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Temple University, also in Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Phoenix.
