Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center Brings New Cardiac Research Trial to Northern Palm Beach County for Tricuspid Regurgitation

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center is actively participating in a new medical study (TRILUMINATE Pivotal Trial), and enrolling patients who have severe symptomatic tricuspid regurgitation (leakage through the tricuspid valve), and are deemed appropriate for transcatheter intervention. This study is being conducted by Abbott, and is designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the TriClip device for the treatment of severe tricuspid regurgitation. Potential participants must go through a screening process prior to being enrolled in the study.

“Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center continues to be at the forefront when it comes to breakthroughs for cardiac procedures,” said Dr. Saurabh Sanon, medical director for the structural heart disease program and principal investigator for this study at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. “This is the first Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) trial in the U.S. to evaluate a non-surgical, minimally invasive, catheter-based treatment option for patients with severe Tricuspid Regurgitation”
