Palm Beach Health Network Celebrates American Heart Month

The Palm Beach Health Network is encouraging the community to prioritize their heart health this February, which is American Heart Month.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in America. However, there are ways to reduce or eliminate the risk of developing it, such as exercising and a healthy diet. 

Additionally, the Palm Beach Health Network is offering complimentary events and screenings to promote heart health, here is a list of location, date, and time:

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center

  • Every Sunday - The Gardens GreenMarket – Blood Pressure Screenings 8am-1pm - 10500 N Military Trail
  • 20 - Hands-Only CPR Class - 6pm PBGFR Station 61 - 4425 Burns Road (RSVP Required)

Good Samaritan Medical Center

  • 23 - Presentation with Dr. Waldo at Palm Beach Recreation Center
  • 27 - Heart Healthy at the Watermark with cardiologist Dr. Oral Waldo

Delray Medical Center

  • 13 – Management of Atrial Fibrillation discussion with electrophysiologist Dr. Yoel Vivas at South County Civic Center 3:00pm to 4:00pm
  • 15 – Heart Matters Screenings, testing blood pressure, diabetes, body mass index and cholesterol levels in Delray Medical Center’s lobby from 8am to 10am
  • 22 – Mended Hears of Delray, peer-support group for patients with cardiovascular disease in the Cardiac Rehab Conference Room at Delray Medical Center 11am to 12pm
