Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center Appoints Timothy Howard as Chief Human Resource Officer

(August 17, 2016) – With over 30 years of healthcare human resources experience, Timothy Howard is Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center’s new chief human resources officer. He will be responsible for overseeing all HR management and industrial relations operations for the 199-bed acute care hospital and its departments. 

“On behalf of the entire team at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, I would like to extend Tim a warm welcome,” said CEO Jeffrey M. Welch. “His 10-year tenure with Tenet has afforded him an extensive understanding of the company’s practices and business approach.”

Prior to his appointment at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Howard served as the chief human resources officer at Tenet’s Fountain Valley Regional Hospital in California for 10 years. In that role, he oversaw the labor/employee relations program and management training for the 400-bed hospital with 1,700 employees. Among his many accomplishments, Howard established a climate that fostered high involvement, trust, credibility and commitment to quality. He also developed tools for assessing customer and staff satisfaction within the HR department. 

Howard achieved his Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. He is currently finishing up his Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
