When it comes to breast care, we offer comprehensive diagnostic and interventional services under one roof. We pride ourselves on providing timely and considerate care, no matter what your needs may be. To do so, we offer the following line of services.
Our digital mammography program utilizes low dose technology to provide comprehensive breast services for screenings and diagnostic mammograms. We offer computer aided diagnoses (CAD) technology, and our mammography program maintains full accreditation by the American College of Radiology.
We offer ultrasound guided breast services designed for precise localization during a biopsy or aspiration procedure. Our commitment to strict quality standards and full accreditation by the ACR is not limited to mammography alone. The breast ultrasound program is specifically accredited as well.
Breast MRI is not a replacement for mammography. However, it is used as a screening for women at high risk for breast cancer, determining the extent of cancer after a new diagnosis, evaluating breast implants and further evaluating hard-to-assess abnormalities identified by mammography. We offer breast MRI, which produces a highly detailed and multi-dimensional image of the breast tissue, and removes the risk of radiation exposure.
Used for the diagnosis of osteoporosis, bone density is an effective and important part of our women’s health program.
When a mammogram or breast ultrasound identifies an abnormality, a biopsy can be performed to remove cells from the area in question for identification. We use specialized mammography equipment to perform image guided biopsies of these suspicious areas.
Ultrasound Guided Biopsy
Just as mammography is not the only method to image breast tissue, stereotactic guidance is not the only method to achieve a breast tissue biopsy. For those instances where the provider needs expanded options, we offer needle core biopsies and pre-surgical wire placement guided by ultrasound. This is designed to be a safe and effective method to achieve certain types of biopsy, without exposure to radiation.
